Start a class action law suit on SPECULATION that a company owned by the giant Kraft is collecting and not paying state sales tax? I thought I've heard it all until now...
FYI - For those "Out of state purchases" YOU, the buyer, are responsible for paying the tax on your annual state tax return (under the line "Out of state purchases amount")...For those feeling duped - I assume you made this payment and are upset that you are getting taxed twice

So we have had our machine for about a year now. We use it every day, several times a day and it works great. We had a problem with the piercing unit and I tried to find info out online and email them... no luck.. but as soon as I picked up the phone... they sent a free part out right away.. quick and easy. Now, our machine is not reading the barcodes right. Remember, we use this a lot. Its sitting at yellow and you have to clean the window, reseat the tdisc, straighten the barcode with no luck until we finally get it to work. That has been for about two weeks since we havent made time to call them. I just called customer service, explained the issue.. sending me new unit within 1-2 weeks. very easy. Now, we have had issues with long ship times and no notification with their direct shipping so dont use that...
All in all this is what I see... I love my machine, it works hard and makes great coffee. I get my discs from BB&B. And, when I need to contact this company, I have to remember that they are great when you pick up the phone, they are not ready for online so lets not expect anything out of that yet. When they are ready, it will be great. But, if you remember to pick up the phone and change your expecatations to a non-online company... typically I think you will be happier... I know we are

Class Action Law Suit but not for the same reason

I'd agree for a Class Action, but not for the reason you state. It's because when I ordered an accessory they charged me sales tax.
They are in a different state than I am (TX). I doubt they are paying the sales taxes collected to the other states they do not have a presence in.
Sales taxes only apply for "in state" purchases, not "out-of-state" web purchases.

Sorry, GrayFlannel, but I'm going to have to disagree with you on this. I have the Braun Tassimo machine and the T45 Suprema Bosch Tassimo. Both of them make outstanding lattes and cappucinos. My dad brews the regular Maxwell house coffee on his Braun Tassimo machine and he also loves his machine.
Also, I have to say I'm surprised at the amount of complaints regarding ordering coffee from Tassimo. While I have never enrolled in TassimoDirect, I've never had a problem placing an order for coffee through the Tassimo company. I've always gotten my coffee promptly from Tassimo. Now, I also pick up my Maxwell House cappucinos at my local Target, whenever they're not sold out of them, and I also go to the local Bed, Bath and Beyond to purchase the Starbucks Primo Latte T-Discs.
Again, my drinks come out great, and my experience with dealing with Tassimo Service has been positive. I will probably be calling them soon, as a matter of fact, to inquire about the temperature of my beverages on the Bosch machine, as I think they could be hotter.

I knew before buying my unit that Tassimo was "number 2". What swayed me the most was all the positive reviews of the brewed end product no matter what variety. Sure having a wider selection would be great but in reality how many people actually consume 6,9 or 12 different varieties? They'll usually settle on a couple favorites and leave it at that.
I understand people have issues with TassimoDirect but that is not the only source for Tassimo products. Amazon works well for most and not to forget eBay.
Personally what frustrates me is how Kraft, with all it's capital, can let itself be out-marketed by Keurig.

How about some details on exactly why you feel "duped"?
Sounds like you are personally unhappy with BOTH the product and the service.
Not sure if that's grounds for a class action lawsuit.

Only problem I see, is the Keurig makes crap coffee. All the great marketing in the world cant make me decide to overpay for mediocre coffee.
Tassimo still offers the best choices in coffee, the best tasting coffee, and makes the most consistent cup of joe that I can find. They just need to shore up a few issues with shipping, its piercing unit and improve its communications with its customers.

I feel duped...I bought this coffee maker with the expectation of great coffee and great service....Boy did I get less than I bargained for....Everyone should report Tassimo and Kraft to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. Im sure I can find a lawyer to start a Class Action Law Suit, If I have enough support. Maybe we can get part of the money we spent on the coffee makers back so we can have part of the money to purchase Kuerigs. WHO'S WITH ME?
