The milk creamer sometimes makes a mess on ours but not a really big deal. It happens about 10% of the time and it might be because I over-shake it.
It's interesting but if you push the button to add more it never makes a mess. It seems to do the steam clean only when you hold the button (for the milk creamer). It normally does this after you put the espresso disk in but it will also do it for the milk creamer if you hold the button.

This of course means you'll get more volume so it might not be a solution. I'm referring to a Bosch T65.

I have the same issue on 2 different machines bought at different times and different states!!! What the hell.??? By the date of these posts and that we bought one in December and one 3 days ago and have the same problem. What is the fix??? It is ridiculous. Can someone enlighten me? This happens also with the Gevalia.

It's not just the Starbucks creamer - it happens with the Maxwell House Latte, Starbucks, Gevalia creamer pods as well.

I have the 1st year version of the Tassimo that is 3 yrs old at home and a Braun unit that is 2 yrs old at work. We do not have a water softener at work or at home. I have never descaled my tassimos either but we only use filtered water in the machines (as well as use the Tassimo filter). The water filter at work is a very expensive micro mesh filter so I can't believe that there would be much scaling.

The 3 yr old one does it periodically and it resolves itself after a while. The one at work just started doing it yesterday. Very messy and frustrating, especially since I share it with the entire office and they reimburse me for the coffee - people aren't too happy when they've paid $1.35 for a Starbucks primo and don't get half the creamer and have to clean up the mess.

You can manually empty the rest of the creamer into the cup when you remove it (assumming it hasn't leaked all over the machine) but it's not the same.

A coworker noticed that some of the creamer had solidified a bit at the top of a gevalia pod so he shook it up really, really well- assumming that perhaps it was clogging - didn't work, the machine still didn't empty the creamer,

There was one previous post where a member stated that they had heard from someone in customer service that the issue was with people who used softened water -- something to do with the salts used to soften the water. It's certainly an issue that's being, or has been addressed.

I still have an older Braun unit, and I've had issues sometimes, but never with a disc exploding. I use filtered water for coffee and tea most of the time.

There does seem to be more issues with the Starbucks. Try cleaning your piercing unit very well and try it again. If you continue to have issues with the Stabucks milk discs, give customer service a call. It's helpful if you have the production information from your package handy.

The number is 1-877-834-7271.

I have an issue with the Starbucks Milk Creamer discs. Every time I use one, it doesn't empty completely and when I take it out of the machine, the excess spills on the bar code reader and other parts of the machine. I never have this issue with a Gevalia Milk Creamer disc. Is there some defect with the Starbucks brand?
