I also got mine for X-mas, so I'm still wet behind the ears. :)

1) I haven't had anything like that. Light always switches to green when I close the lid (if there's a disk in place) I run the Creamer first - that way the coffee 'washes' out the milk. See if that makes a difference.

2) How much product? A little tip I learned here... After the milk is finished brewing, hold in the button for an additional 5-7 seconds of brew time. It'll run through the 'steam' cycle again and flush out the last bit of milk that used to drip on the machine/counter.

3) I'm sure there is, but my unrefined taste palate doesn't notice it.

4) That's what I thought. But both disks (cream & coffee) are brewed scalding hot and melts all of the ice in a matter of minutes. I tried an experiment - making this drink without any ice and drinking it hot. It had a 'concentrated' taste to it, needing the melting ice to dilute it.

Your results may vary...

Welcome, sprockey8900, to our community. I'm mostly a black espresso drinker, and usually just pour a double espresso over ice for iced coffee, but from what I understand, the coffee is brewed hot but stronger than usual, like a double that is then poured over ice. There is another thread that discusses the iced coffee disks further here.

As for reading the barcodes, make sure you've wiped all the surfaces and cleaned the area around the piercing unit fairly often, especially if you like the milk disks. That should normally correct any issues with reading the barcodes.

I don't use the milk disks often, so I'm certainly not an expert, but I do know that lattes contain more milk per unit than cappuccinos.

Hope this little bit helps.

Hello All,

I got my Tassimo for Christmas and a mostly love it but I do have a couple of questions. I imagine it has been discussed elsewhere but I can't find it.

1. Is it common that the Tassimo cannot read the T-disk? Several times after I make my latte and then put in the disk for the Cream the light stays yellow. I find it very frustrating and wasteful.
Any tips?

2. Often, not all of the cream or hot chocolate disks empty completely and I am left with disks that still have product in it.
Advice?

3. Is there a difference between Latte cream and Cappuccino cream?

4. How do the Iced Coffee disks work? Does the water come out cold and I just add ice?

Thank you for your feedback!
