If you still have them, I'd love the Starbuck's discs. Guess I got used to that Starbuck's bitterness working across the street from them for so long.

If you're in the Northwest, try Stumptown Roasters' Hairbender espresso. The smoothest, yummiest I've ever had -- no bitterness. I use their beans when I'm not in a hurry and want to drag out the old espresso machine.

Thanks.

I just bought the T65 model and am in LOVE! Definitely brews a stronger cup, which I sometimes like, but enjoy that you can add more water to make it milder without having to use another T-Disc. Thanks to jancavalieri for the tips as we also like a milder coffee in the morning. Will try the Maxwell house blend.

If your complaint is about the strength - I think the Tassimo coffees are designed to be brewed very strong then you can hold down the button on the Tassimo manually to add more water (yes you do want watery coffee if it's brewing too strong for your taste).

If your complaint is about the bitterness - some folks like a bit of bitterness, and when I've had the Starbucks house blend at a Starbucks coffee shop it tastes nearly identical to the brew from the Tassimo (a lot of people think Starbucks is too bitter so they don't go to Starbucks) Seatle's best can also be a bit bitter in my opinion. Starbucks lattes are also on the bitter side compared to the Maxwell House and Jacob's lattes/Machiatos.

I would recommend you try one of the Gevelia or Maxwell House "House" or "Breakfast" blends for your regular coffee. If you are used to the milder/less bitter coffees like you find with the premium grocery store brands then you'll probably enjoy the Maxwell House brews - but you may still have to use the button to add more water to get it to the strength you prefer.

Also the Maxwell house breakfast blend comes as a LARGE 12 oz size, and it is definately less strong than their other blends but make sure you use a large enough cup. Perfect for the morning coffee drinker that likes to drink a lot of coffee without the big buzz.

I also just got a tassimo for my birthday. I do love it but I like my coffee on the weaker side, and most of the brands I've tried seem to be so strong! I'm wondering if there are any brands that make a weaker coffee. So far I've tried all of the lattes, which are very strong too.

HELP! I have just replaced my dead Keurig with a Tassimo T65. I bought it yesterday at BB&B and with it, somewhat uninformed, a package of Seattle's Best Breakfast Blend. It was enough to make me to NEVER want another cup of coffee again. My kitchen still smells like it and my esophagus is still burning. This morning I tried the other t-discs I bought, Starbucks latte...yuk. Really bad. Help. I have a three year old and need coffee without spending hours reading through all the on-line reviews of various t-discs. Can someone recommend a light to medium roast coffee with no bitterness and a nice smooth taste? I also don't want watery coffee. Help! I may have to go back the the ol' Mr. Coffee. By the way, if anyone wants my Seattle's Best Breakfast blend and my Starbuck's Latte discs, I'll gladly send them to you for free! I don't want them in my house and I don't want to toss them. There must be someone out there with an iron stomach!
