I have the same problem with the skim milk packets only. The regular milk discs seem to dispense okay. I have started cleaning the disc/reader area after almost every use. Skim milk still won't dispense.

I know it does look like a small blender. It was actually designed to make froths for caps and lattes, and they've expanded on the utility of the frother. The basic model has one wand and does a great job with froths and toppings, some desserts. The second step up the Froth and sauce has two wands, one for frothing for caps and one for making sauces and deserts. The wands are the reason this makes great froths. A blender won't give you the same, I tried ; ) The wand to make sauces is used to make froth for lattes so there is a small amount of loose milk to pour in first. I have not a clue how this frother is able to make froths as thick as it does, but it beats out any frother I've ever used. Its better to use skim milks rather than whole, and yet the taste of the skim milk is amazing when its frothed this way. You can do beautiful artwork on top, its that thick and the froth lasts a long time. The other use of this little machine, it makes the best bernaise sauce and other gourmet sauces, as well as desserts! I like their idea of flavoring the froths for caps and lattes. Imagaine that, a flavored froth, say white chocolate froth on top of a wonderful mocha latte ; ) The company is wonderful to work with, and the reviews have been very good for a long time. Chefs promote this little machine ; ) Eventually, since I use mine all the time and its getting pretty old now, I want to move up to the "Gourmet/heat on and off model". The Gourmet model seems to have more utility, has the ability to make more food stuffs/makes more goodies, and I hear its much easier to clean. That was the boon of the model I owned, not too easy to clean. The mini wasn't available when I bought my froth au lait, and looks like a nice little machine for those who are just looking to make great froths. In fact if I wanted just froths and had the choice between the basic model with one whip at $59 and the mini, I would pick the mini at $10 more. It looks to be a real sleek and nice frother to put next to a Tassimo. And I think I'm reading the pitcher part is glass? The picture of the cap in the picture with the mini model is what you get when you froth with their models. Here are some reviews on the newer mini http://www.amazon.com/Froth-Au-Lait-FALM-GB-MINI/dp/B0042LEW20/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1288777546&sr=8-3

I've never even heard of this before. So what is it, exactly? It looks kind of like a blender.

You know your question is a very good one, and many of us have been asking this very thing for a long time. At least please bring on reuseable disks that can accomodate those needs. For some, that is what it is... a necessity, given different medical problems people can have. As far as fat free goes, that is the way of America any more. Most buy fat free, so this isn't a minority thing. Although, in my case I love my fatty half and half. Fat free doesn't cut it for me, but I strongly believe in the rights of others too ; ) One of the utensils I own is called a Froth au Lait [the froth and sauce model]. Its a wonderful utensil with untold value in making toppings for Lattes and Caps. Fat free or soy milks actually whip up better using this machine than does whole milk or cream. It also makes untold desserts and OMG the best sauces, etc. It has been worth every penny for me and sits next to my Tassimo. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=froth+au+lait&tag=mh0b-20&index=aps&hvadid=159769086&ref=pd_sl_56uifprxyd_e

I also bought this machine for the convience of making Lattes - and the fact that the creamer was included in the package and easy to use was the biggest factor in my choosing this machine. I have found that the creamer upsets my stomach... so I have resorted back to just plain coffee discs... I could have got that with a cheaper coffee maker. I really need to be able to use a different type of cream or even organic hormone free milk discs..if that can't be provided, is it possible to have a creamer disc that you can fill with your own type of milk or cream? Please?!

There is the Skinny Caps available and I don't see all that much difference between a cap and latte with the exception of more fluid milk that isn't frothed is added to the latte before the froth. In fact, that is what the recipes included with my froth au lait mentions. To hold back the froth with a spatula or other utensil and add the loose warmed milk first before spooning on the froth. You could always make the expresso part and add some warmed up fat free milk, before making the skinny mik portion. Don't get too discouraged ; ) I'm thinking with all the changes Tassimo has recently made, there is going to be more in store for everyone. And these machines are really the best.

I wish I had done more research as I wouldn't have bought a Tassimo had I realized there is not a non-fat options for lattes. Is this even on the table at Tassimo?? Shame on me. I was excited to get my machine and started bragging about it to my friends and family, but when so many asked about non-fat options, they all said they would not buy one of these... I wouldn't have either. Please tell me it is in production?!

I would love to get non-fat creamer. I use these in my regural coffee (as a cafe au lait) rather than always having to do a latte. I have a lot of uses for them including adding them to the hot chocolate for my kids.
The sooner that Tassimo can get this on the market, the sooner I will purchase it. Meanwhile, I am using non-fat creamer from the grocery store.

Jane - I have posted on this subject before about all the milk creamers not dispensing fully and the responses I see are as follows:
1. Creamers require more shaking. This is not correct. I have shakin my creamers til i was blue in the face and that has not improved the result.
2. Faulty Piercing unit: My unit is brand new (while I guess I could have a faulty piercing unit), the likelihood is slim. I have inspected the puncture in the T-disc and it looks just fine. No foil left covering part of the inlet port. Consequently, i can't see how this is the problem.
3. Different creamers, different result. I have tried all the creamers and none of them dispense fully. I've ruled this out. I think the fact that some folks have varying opinions on whether this creamer works and this one doesn't is speculation. Possibly unit worked properly that day they tried another creamer.
Bottom-line is that if a couple more seconds is added to the programming without diluting the beverage, that would seem like a logical solution. I simply fix the issue now, but just holding add+ for a couple seconds and dispense the milk fully.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Tassimo, but I think all the responses are quick reactions to varying reports of the milk not dispensing fully and I've ruled out everyone (more than once) that i've seen on this forum, expect programming.

They may require more shaking. There are a number of tips on this and other threads related to the creamer discs. Do let customer service know if the problem continues.

I do like the fat free creamers. My question revolves around the fat free creamers not finishing the full cycle. Everytime I use a fat free creamer there is still milk in the disc and as I take it out it spills all over the bar code reader and disc holder. I have called customer service about this and they told me to let them know if it continues.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I too would LOVE to be able to purchase the fat free milk discs separately from the Skinny Cap packages. I don't want to use the regular creamer discs that are sold separately and I would like to be able to use the fat free discs with other Tassimo beverages.

+1 on the Non-fat creamers. Please sell them separately. Those of us on restricted fat diets need this option to be able to continue to enjoy our Tassimo to the fullest extent.
