Sorry, I must not have been clear, I wasn't speaking of expresso alone, but thinking of caps and lattes ; ) Expressos are actually only close to 1 oz per pull or shot of "very strong expresso" pumped through higher bars of pressure than our tassimos are equipped to do. OMG, we have an italian friend who makes his own expressos and wow, you will not sleep for the next 24 hours. That being tiny tiny italian cuppas of innocent looked stuff. LOL. When the milks and/or flavors are added, most caps or lattes are still very strong. More fluids can be added and you still have a strong brew. I read on the net that one shot of expresso at SBuxs is used to serve an 8 ounce [regular] to the 12 oz [tall] drink. Two shots expresso for grand and venti sized drink at respectively 16 oz for the grand and 20 oz for the venti. Three shots of expresso for the Iced Venti. So if I were to order straight up expresso, I would expect to be served a 1 to 2 oz cup of expresso depending on how many shots I want. But if I have a SBux cap or latte I usually go for at least the 12 oz size [tall] and at times 16 oz [grand] ; ) So we are both using two expressos to make our choice of caps or lattes and I also do this for strength, and to a small degree more volume when I add the bellagio chocolate for a mocha. I would enjoy this immensely if we had a T-disc where I could do this in one pull. We are already spending the money by using 2 T-discs. And a choice of being able to buy on amazon or local stores singularly sold Sbux, Carte Noire and Mastro Lorenzo expressos would be crema

Traditional Espresso is usually a 2-3 ounce serving. Order one in a restaurant and that's what you get, in a tiny cup.

The SBux espresso discs brew slightly more than the others, e.g. Carte Noir or Maestro Lorenzo espresso, about 3 ounces. I like a stronger cap or latte, so I always use 2 espresso discs to one milk disc (I know, more expensive to do that). This gives me about an 8 to 10 ounce drink. I don't think that's an unreasonable size for a cap or latte - the larger ones at SBux cost a lot more.

You are right, the SBuxs latte(s) and cap(s) using the available T-discs are probably less than half of what you get from a real SBuxs coffee house. I guess we just expect the coffee experience would be the same as when we go to SBuxs. Although its true, expressos are normally a smaller cuppa in regard to european countries, SBuxs isn't european and doesn't serve minature caps or lattes. I'm also of the consensus, bring it on Kraft, give us those T-discs that produce more coffee. Stop catering more so to the european countries.

How big is your mug?

Tradiltionally, an 'espresso' is not a big drink. See Wikipedia section on size:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Espresso

Starbucks currently has 2 Bold brews the Verona and the Kitamu; both of them are really good. However they will also yield the 'standard' measure of a cup 8 oz.

Some of the Breakfast Blends will yield 12 oz. but not very strong.

Realistically speaking, I don't ever see a single serve coffee maker that makes larger cups than 12 oz.

I would love to have a "mug" of expresso, latte, etc. instead of the ounce or two of coffee. I bought the machine recently but ended up returning it for this reason alone. I simply need a larger (and not watered down) cup of coffee. (I used the caramel macchiato t disk). I will definitely re-buy the tassimo when this happens. Great taste!
