I wish now that I hadn't replaced my old broken down Tassimo with a brand new Bosch machine. Keurig has some 10 pages of selections!
Has anyone tried to modify a T-disk so it could be filled with the coffee of one's choice?

The concept is apparently not even a consideration

So....does Kraft really think partnering with a large variety of brands does not work or something? Green Mountain is laughing all the way to the bank.

Yup, I agree with you. Unfortunately, it seems that management really is not impacted by any of this.

Oh, and BTW, you can't get "Peet's Coffee" in a t-disc. :^O

i agree that it would be a fantastic idea to have a variety pack of coffees and expressos from various areas. It would be nice to have it offered even for a period of time. What would production of something like that take? I do notice that Target stores do offer the coffee and expressos but only the maxwell house brands although they at times have the starbucks as well. I don't know what they don't take what the forum has to say and implement it as we all have good ideas. Don't they want their company to grow and succeed. I have sold maybe ten of these machines to many of my friends and they love them. Sometimes i think the people in charge don't even drink their own coffee or expressos or they have the $1000 machines for their own use of other brands. Do they really care what we think? I mean we are the buying public for pete's sake!

My son graced me with several pounds of Greenberry's coffees for Christmas one year ; ) Yep, he knows me and my love for coffees. It was indeed excellent coffee. Also, he introduced me to a coffee brand named Bad Ass. The coffee is from Hawaii but has shops in some states. Excellent Kona and lervvvvvvvvvve their Hazelnut & Pecan coffees. http://www.badasscoffeestore.com/

I agree with you whole-heartedly ; ) Its been said on this forum that it would be a great idea to bring on board some of those locally known coffee house hot spots. I'm sure the businesses would appreciate the promotion of their brands, and Kraft would indeed stand to gain. In the states, the predominant brands of coffees produced in T-disc form are MH and G. I agree again with you, neither brand is considered to be a premium, high standard coffee. But note the MH and Gevalia. Kraft's brand of coffee, and their subsidiary Gevalia, the king of subscription & free coffee makers when subscribing. One wonders if the major control of the T business belongs to the subsidiary. Poor Bosch, Bosch made a great machine that is under-utilized. Its not to say Kraft can't step up to the plate and bring on other coffee companies. They partnered with SBuxs and they can partner again.

I received a Tassimo as a gift this christmas, and I am impressed by the quality cup of coffee it can brew. However, I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of choices available at my local retail markets - Usually just Maxwell House and Starbucks.

I live in the Chicagoland area, also the home of Kraft headquarters, and we have some excellent local roasters that make superb coffees, namely, Intelligentsia, Asado, and Metropolis coffees.

Now the bonehead marketing crew at Kraft will immediately discount this idea as these companies are not well known. Well, what these boneheads don't seem to get is that it's not the name that people want - IT'S OPTIONS. The shear variety of coffee offered for the Keurig machine is one of the major reasons that Green Mountain is killing Tassimo in the market. Also, Kraft doesn't have to commit long term to making selling these "local" brands. They could sell a variety pack and call it "flavors of Chicago" or something of that nature "for a limited time only" just to test market the coffees and the demand. By the way, chicory is also a brewable root, i.e., Cafe du Monde anyone?

If Kraft insists on having its future customers pay major bucks for a machine and then only offer them Maxwell House varieties is shameful. Maxwell House is not a premium coffee, and I will not pay premium prices for it. I can just as easily go through the drive thru at Dunkin' or Starbucks for my premium brew. Just my two cents.
