I found the Nabob almost fills my regular coffee cup. I'm finding it to be surprisingly good. Not acidy and not bittery, smooth and more of a medium roast. Would be nice to get my hands on some of the T-discs sold in France which are said to brew 2 cups of coffee from one disk

Most Tassimo beverages do produce a 6 - 8 oz cup of coffee.
Maxwell House and Gelvalia do make a regular coffee that will give you a 12 oz cup. I have used the Maxwell House a lot and also added an espresso for stronger better taste.

Typically the plain coffee portion will be around 8 oz, or about the size appropriate for a coffee cup. Coffee mugs hold about 12 ounces and a travel mug holds around 16 ounces or more, so the serving will seem small.

One tip is to look at the picture on the front of the package. The cup or glass size gives a pretty good approximation of what you can expect.

Most of the T-discs I've tried brew smaller european sized cups of coffees. You will find SBux's African Kitamu brews a somewhat larger cup and someone else posted there is a MH T-disc & Gevalia T-disc that brews a larger cup. Someone will have to jump in and tell us which MH & G coffee that is [I don't drink it].
As far as the other SBux's regular coffees, I can't remember? Out of all of them, except for the caps and lattes, the only one I really liked was the Kitamu ; ) Maybe member who posted about downloading the portion sizes of the T-discs could post the link???

I haven't received mine yet so I am not sure but I did download a table from tassimopro.com that gives the portion sizes for the professional models. I imagine it is close. Look under recipes for it.

Pardon me if this is a silly question but I just don't know if I'm doing this right although it seems rather basic to use.

I bought a TAS4511UC01 last year and have used it maybe four or five times since getting it and now it just sits in the corner of my kitchen while I have a cupboard stocked with T-Discs.

It seems like with most of the coffees/hot chocolates that one T-Disc only does about half of a standard Tea Cup (Or so I think a standard Tea cup)

Is that accurate or is there something I'm just doing wrong? I was under the impression that you simply slide the disc in and close the lid and based on the barcode it scans it distributes the proper amount of water, correct?

I dunno but it just seems like I have to use 2-3 T-Discs for every cup of whatever it is I'd like to make which just makes it relatively expensive over just going to Starbucks it seems like.

Like I said, this might be silly and I may just be doing something wrong or it could be that it just doesn't make the expected amount per disc.

At any rate, I appreciate any help or guidance on how to maximize this machine. Thank You :)
