Not that I want to "flame" anyone but I agree. Kraft has a great tool in this forum to get a pulse on one of their brands and they are dropping the ball.

HostSky likely doesn't know. The hosts work for Live World, not for Kraft directly.
HostSky, would it be possible for you to ask for Kraft to provide information back to the forum? Everything seems like a one-way street.

Compared to other brands we (community people) can say tassimo is equals to convenience plus quality. right

It depends on what you compare the cost to. If you compare it to coffee prepared in a French Press or drip coffeemaker, then it is indeed outrageous. However, if you compare it to a coffee shop (or even a convenience store/McDonalds), it's not so bad. [Or compare it to beer/wine/etc.] The speed and ease of preparation is wonderful.
What I do find frustrating is that the prices are higher in the US than in Europe--even accounting for the USD/EUR exchange rate.

I give you an +A for honesty! No need to get beat up by others to what you hold true.
At the "daily grind" (no pun intended) coffee via Keurig is provided. Although, variety is somewhat lacking on Tassimo (picky w/my impossible standards), Tassimo, IMHP, is superior.
The cost is enough to scare a sane person into hiding, but I suppose that a person will put out $$$ to get what suits him/her. I over spend when it comes to beverages, but refuse to pay somebody else for something I can learn and do for myself, like making a decent drink.
I commend the person who makes the right decision that makes him/her happy. After all, it's YOUR opinion that matters to you.

I think tassimo is better compared to keurig. Keurig is messy plus the quality of the coffees are much better with tassimo.

Funny update: The day we decide to take the Tassimo back (trying drink up all the tdiscs first), my mother-in-law, who lives with us, asked if she could buy it from us. She loves the convenience.
Given that she only drinks brew (and that we now have a lovely espresso machine), we decided that the Keurig would be the better choice overall. I was fine with the Tassimo for brew (low cost, tasty), but it's hard to beat the Keurig overall.

I agree with the cost but not because of quality but rather size. It's cheaper than going to a coffee house but what coffee house even offers an 8 oz drink? They don't. The small typically starts at 12 oz. Nonetheless, I don't mind the cost too much, it's just the lack of availability followed by selection that is bothersome as for the better brands (The European and Canadian) you gotta order online which su(ks (Censored, really?).
Taste... Well, the Milka is made with Splenda which is an insecticide so what do you expect? And Starbucks is never good, hell, they water down their own chais and when you order a eggnogg latte you're really getting a regular latte with a splash of egg nog and there is never any foam.
The "waste" of the Tassimo was actually one of the selling points. Tired of the global warming hysteria. Happy to use a machine that demonstrates the progress of civilization in allowing us the ease, comfort and convenience of pushing a button to enjoy a premium beverage that does circles around anything one could order at a Starbucks.

Returning the Christmas Tassimo
Jan 7, 2010 4:39 AM

I got my wife a Tassimo for Christmas, and after trying several drink, we decided it's going back. Here are the reasons:
1) COST For the most part, I didn't have a problem with the cost of the plain coffee drinks. When we got to anything with milk in it (Milka, SB Latte's, etc.) the $1+ cost per drink seemed incredibly high -- especially since the drinks are all B to B+ level at best.
2) SELECTION AND AVAILABILITY There are really no good decaf products (especially espresso), and the ability to get t-discs is not easy. I tracked these boards for weeks waiting for Mastro Lorenzo Espresso to become available again. If I want just one box to try it'll run me $16+ (if you include shipping). See point 1 again. And, then, I never know if it'll be out-of-stock or discontinued.
3) TASTE The coffee drinks (incl. espresso) are not bad, but the milk drinks leave a lot to be desired, and it's the milk drinks that really separate Tassimo from the Keurig. I especially dislike the SB Primo milk; it tastes like butter. Even the Milka hot chocolate can't compare to what we can whip up from scratch in a not-too-much-longer timeframe.
4) WASTE I've gutted an recycled every t-disc I've used to so far, but if you care about such things, it really is a lot of waste.
The final straw came when we decided to pick up an inexpensive espresso machine (a Kenmore Elite, made by Cuisinart). With a little effort (and a whole lot more fun, if you like to make things), there is just no comparison. The Tassimo just can't hold its own even next to an amateur latte made on a cheap, home machine. And with E.S.E. pods, home espresso can be almost as easy and foolproof as the Tassimo (plus there's a TON of E.S.E. variety).
Overall, the Tassimo is a fun novelty. I like that it's quick. I like that it's foolproof. It would be great in the workplace (if the cost didn't kill you). But, overall, it's not the machine for us.
