Even if the select coffee (ML, CN, Nabob, etc...) were only available at BBB, I'd accept that.
At the moment, that's one perk to going to BBB - they have the biggest selection in town. Once they run out of Sbux, their selection won't be so grand.

I love my T45 'bot. It's a great machine. Unfortunately, the selection is rather sparse. The only real place to order coffee is from Amazon. However it would be much better if Kraft/Gevalia would merchandize their coffee at local retailers.

We LOVE our Tassimo T45. After we bought one for our condo in Southern Florida, we quickly became enamoured to the convenience and quality of the Tassimo machine and the extensive line of TDiscs. We are especially fond of the Gevalia products, with preference to the crema and decaf blends. We also like the Kenco Medium Roast as our morning starter coffee. At our other home, we first made the mistake of purchasing an upper-end model Keunig. It seemed most retailers were offering and extensive variety of pods for the Keunig brand machine. After a single brew, we noticed the difference... nothing short of a glorified kettle! Waiting four minutes for it to heat-up before brewing the coffee... it just could not compete with the speed and quality of the Tassimo. It also was more cost effective at roughly 50 cents per cup, versus 60 cents or more for the Keunig. We exchanged this vastly inferior machine for another T45, and have not looked back. As coffee lovers, both the drip and french coffee makers are now collecting dust in favour of our Tassimo T45s. Thanks Tassimo for making our brew, times two, new and simply a most satisfying experience.

"These "pod" machines offer convenience, but they tend to cost more than automatic drip coffee makers and they rarely match the flavor and brew performance. Smaller drip coffee makers are another way..."

Uh, no.
Are you stating your opinion or plagiarizing Consumer Reports? The pod brewers make far superior coffee, and are faster and easier, than drip makers. A "french press" may make better coffee, but they are more difficult, slowere, and require more cleanup.

I've tried (owned) Senseo.
I've tried (owned) Keurig.
I've tried (owned) Tassimo (obviously).
I've tried (owned) a couple other single serve machines that allowed you to brew your own from your own grounds.

The worst cup of coffee I've gotten from the Tassimo is still better than the best cup I've ever gotten from any of the others, IMHO. And, that is especially true of the individual cup drip makers.

Each to his (or her) own. That is why there is a market for all of the different units.

And Consumer Reports use what metrics to come up with such a delusional conclusion?

What happened to the rest of the Tassimo Brewers; Oh, no need to mention them, what for?

I think customer reviews speak (most of the time) better that well biased CR.

Amazon Reviews on their top choice, not stellar performance if you ask me.

In general, single-serve coffee makers are gaining popularity in North America. These "pod" machines offer convenience, but they tend to cost more than automatic drip coffee makers and they rarely match the flavor and brew performance. Smaller drip coffee makers are another way to "joe." Here’s how Consumers Reports ranks the pod coffee makers and gives their general prices:

63 Senseo Supreme 7832 $130

60 Flavia Fusion Deluxe J11NMG $150

53 Bunn My Cafe MCP 2 $300

48 Bosch Tassimo Suprema TAS4511UC $150

48 Krups Nescafe Dolce Gusto KP2102 $170

48 Keurig-Breville BKC600XL $250

46 Cuisinart SS-700 $200

44 Keurig Personal Mini B30 $80

43 Breville BKC700XL $250

41 Keurig B40 Brewing System $100

35 TRU Eco TE-258 $40

34 Senseo SL7810/65 1 $70
