It might be the water where you live......I have very hard water here in the southwest, so I have only been using water from the filter in my refrigerator. I dont have any bad taste at all! I love the Chai Tea Latte - I havent been to Starbucks for 2 weeks! I made my friends at work the same drink and they now all want a Tassimo!

Great advice, massaroemm! I think a lot of us tend to forget that little bit of milk residue left from our lattes. Thanks!

I don't mean to sound patronizing, but did you flush it through with the cleaning disc before brewing your first cup of coffee? It's been over a year since I've had mine, but I seem to recall that you had to run possibly several cups of water with the cleaning disc before using it. Just a suggestion ">
Also, I don't know about everyone else, but since I pretty much only brew the lattes and cappuccinos, I make sure to rinse out my piercing unit immediately after making my lattes and cleaning the area surrounding the piercing unit, because if I don't do it right away, I'll forget, and guess what?! You get caked up, dried up milk particles on the piercing unit!

I saw on another thread you had figured out it was the splenda you weren't liking. You might want to call customer service and find out which ones don't use it. 1-877-834-7271
Hope it helps!

Not normal at all. I am very sensitive to that kind of stuff, I had a pod machine once that did that, but I had no aftertaste at all with my Tassimo, not even the first time I used it.
You could try to flush it with a vinegar solution or just exchange it for another one as it is not normal .

Hi everyone. I just purchased my Tassimo machine a couple of hours ago. My mom wanted one for Christmas and after researching it, I decided to get one for my office as well, thinking I could cut down on our huge Starbucks bills! We set it up and then my assistant and I sample three flavors...Chai Latte, Cappuccino, and Hot Chocolate. I found all three of them to have a plasticy after taste. Is this normal? I realize that for this price and with this speed it is not going to be as good as going out to a coffee shop but the after taste makes me feel like I've been drinking diet soda all day. Any tips????? Thanks!
