That is totally predictable and not necessarily good news. More Gevalia. Great for those who like Gevalia. But those choices are just not going to do it for me. However, one has to consider if T-discs become predominantly Gevalia, more than likely subscription will expand along with it. I have to say if that happens, I'll be glad there are Gevalia lovers out there ; ) I can sell my T-45 and T-65 and not have loose too much on the deal ; )

Early this summer, Gevalia is launching three new "X-tra Bold" coffee selection T Discs for those who prefer a dark, bold coffee experience. 1) Dark Breakfast Blend 2) Dark House Blend 3) Dark Italian Roast.

well...that is just pathetic. a response that we basically all knew was happening already? this isn't the stone age...people aren't sending messages by pigeons...
this has been all but known since last year, and within the past few weeks, we've all been 90% sure or MORE that Starbucks was leaving.
What we DON'T know is what in the hell Tassimo plans to do to fill this gaping hole in their coffee offerings.
I'm not a huge Starbucks fan myself, although I do find the Verona pretty tasty...AND it makes a nice, large cup of bold coffee....very nice for the morning commute.
But, for the most part, my absolute favorites have been the Carte Noir and Mastro Lorenzo offerings. I would like to see a few more choices from these lines...maybe with an XL option in a nice, rich dark roast. You would think that it would be pretty easy to put together a new lineup of T-discs from those brands alone to fill out the lineup.
Canada already has Nabob discs that produce a larger cup of coffee, AND they have Nabob espressos and cappuccinos. How hard would it be to offer THOSE here? Not that Nabob has the brand recognition or anything that Starbucks has, but if you already MAKE the discs, why not make them available to your customers EVERYWHERE??
And I'm not saying they won't...but neither is Kraft, because they aren't saying a flipping WORD!!
argh!!!
I love this machine...and I love the coffee and drinks that it produces...but their complete mishandling of public relations just doesn't give me much hope that they are going to provide a satisfactory solution to any of us any time soon.
Please...PLEASE...surprise us, Kraft!

WOW, I am so, so, so, SO glad I cancelled my order for the Tassimo brewer form this website before it was too late! I picked up the Platinum Keurig the other day, and I can't wait to give it to the wife. I really do feel for all of you that are stuck with the Tassimo machines - maybe they will break, and you will have a good reason to purchase a worthy product.

There is a notice on the front page of Tassimo. Off to the lower right hand corner in hyper link. It should have been in big block letters. Not much of an announcement really.
"You may have read that Starbucks is looking to end its long-standing strategic partnership with Kraft Foods. Although we are doing everything we can to approach this in a way that is fair to both companies, Starbucks has arbitrarily chosen March 1 as the day it will stop sending supplies to Kraft Foods and our relationship will end. This means that once we run out of Starbucks and Seattle’s Best Coffee branded T DISCs, these products will no longer be available in stores and online.
Of course, TASSIMO will continue to offer you an extensive variety of premium-brand T DISCs for coffees, cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, cremas, teas and hot chocolates. More than ever, we’re committed to continuing our innovative efforts and introducing even more delicious products to delight our customers. Please stay tuned.
Wow, Seattle's Best is really being enhanced, eh?... into non existence for Tassimo. But this didn't tell us any thing that we didn't already know. Again "extensive variety", [who are you kidding] and "committment to continuing innovative efforts and introducing more products" .....Reaaaaaaaaaaaaallly? Maybe you will start committing to that effort now, but only time will tell. Your reputation for honesty and customer satisfaction just doesn't define you at the moment. We've heard for how many years that suggestions were being passed upward, without a follow through, so your effort was really not in to it. You can't "continue" something that has been almost non-existent. I would really have preferred an official notice to say, sorry about SBux and Seattle, this is what you will see in the next few months. And then tell us your plans to expand on drink choices and developing a reuseable disc.
Edited to add:
I want to know what Kraft plans to do for us. A resuseable disc? More coffee brands brought on board? Equal fare with european countries selections? More decaffs? More milks?
WHAT?????. And since honesty has been lacking, an approximate time frame. Most important of all, follow through!!!!!!

Saying they offer a "wide variety" in Canada is hilarious (without SB we have MH and Nabob available in stores and that's it), but the rest of it is promising.

Does anyone know what brand t-disc is just to the right of the red brewbot on the main page? It is a red and yellow disc, but I can't make out the name.

I'm not sure how long these have been on Amazon, but a lot of the Euro only brands are available for pre-order...
Could the announcement be that these Euro brands will be coming to stores? Not just direct delivery?

My Tassimo just arrived today. Imagine my surprise when I can't find any Seattle's Best online, come here looking for info, and find out them AND Starbucks are apparently pulling out (my 2 big reasons for picking up the machine).
I feel like such a dummy. I knew Keruig offered a lot more brands, but I went with Tassimo since it could do some of the milk based drinks, but this is getting a bit ridiculous. I feel like I just flushed money down the toilet.
