I just bought a tassimo.
It is available at Lowes, Target, and BBB. All 15 minutes away. Amazon has it a huge selection for Prime Users.
You have to consider Keurig has been out 12 Years prior to the inception of Tassimo. Tassimo has only been in US in 2005-2006. Bosch's Tassimo has only been out since 2008. I think Tassimo has made quite a strong headway in US considering the short period of time. I heard it's wildly popular in Europe. "August 2008, Kraft announced double-digit growth for the second quarter in a row for its Tassimo coffee T-Disc sales."
Oh if 2008 is a little too far in the past for you:
"Kraft Foods Inc.’s revenue from its Tassimo beverages in Europe rose more than 20 percent in the first eight months of the year (2010), helped by expansion in Spain and Greece, according to Mike Clarke, Kraft’s European president.
The number of Tassimo machines sold in Europe last year surpassed Nestle SA’s Nespresso brewer sales, Clarke said in an interview today. Tassimo sales rose more than 20 percent in Europe in 2009. "

This is so true. And the same can be said for countries as well.. different demands in different countries. I know Tassimo was originally launched in France and is usually released in Europe before the US, meaning that it probably has a much bigger following there.

You can purchase Tassimo at Target. Of course, they only have a selected few different brands. But you could advise the management and perhaps they can stock your favorites.
I am going to do that as I had a bad experience with the Customer Service Dept this week. They didn't try to resolve my problem. Many companies will work with a unhappy customer, but I did not find that true.
I will continue to enjoy my coffees with the help of Target.

I have only tried a few Keurig coffees at doctor's offices and hotel rooms (Tassimo serves neither industry) and have found the plain coffees to be comparable to Tassimos. I'm not sure it is fair to say the Tassimo is superior to Keurig in diversity and quality. It is certainly inferior in product selection compared with a huge array of premium brands and beverages available from Keurig. True the Tassimo makes lattes. The Keurig makes ice teas, ice coffees, and a much better selection of hot chocolate. I have owned both Tassimo machines (bought the first one immediately after US release) and have been happy with the quality of most of the beverages, but the selection is horrible and new introductions are ridiculously slow compared to the Keurig system. I have never owned a Keurig and am not a proponent of that system, but lets at lease be fair and stick to the facts. A quick perusal of the internet will show that the selection of beverages and machines far outnumbers the Tassimo. I have tried few Keurig coffees but they were comparable to Tassimo.

No, I don't think TASSIMO is hurting for business, at least not yet or for a while. It's in high demand here in Illinois/Chicagoland area. It's a little pricey for the frugal coffee drinkers. Real coffee connoisseurs will find this machine invaluable.
As long as the subscription service AND Macy's continues to sell the coffee, teas, etc., my TASSIMO is a keeper and I'm a happy customer. I think that the convenience and variety of flavors are major selling points.
Ironically, while at Macy's on one of my loading-up on coffee excursions, some customers were shopping around for a new machine and asked me my thoughts on the TASSIMO. I raved about the quality of the brews and ease of machine use. The lady at Macy's did relay to me that the store cannot possibly replenish as fast as the demand. When new shipments of T-Discs come in, they are gone! The subscription service is very convenient and has a good variety to choose from online.

Tassimo seems to be a hit in other countries but in America it hasn't taken off too well it seems. I make this assumption based on the fact Tassimo products are not so easily found as are K-Cups and I even have employees give me a blank stare when I ask about Tassimo.
I would conclude easily that Tassimo isn't doing as well as it could do in the states but largely due to their own incompetence. The complaints about their customer service seem high, even when investigating between a Tassimo and Keurig the poor customer service was apparent. For me, that is enough to bypass a product.
Then, two of the stand-out products (The Chai Tea Latte and Milka hot chocolate) are made with Splenda. When I found that out I was about to return my Tassimo but wouldn't have had enough time to find a replacement Christmas gift so figured we'd give it a try. One of the deciding factors in choosing the Tassimo over the Keurig was the milked hot chocolate and chai tea latte. Very disappointing.
Moreover, Tassimo doesn't advertise and for anyone who walks into a store for such a machine he or she will have a hard time choosing a Tassimo over the Keurig without pre-existing knowledge due to the greater spread in pricing for the Keurig machines plus availability of the K-Cups. Speaking of which: Why is the reasonably priced $130 model only available online? I mean please, that too almost cost Tassimo of my purchase as I wasn't going to order from Amazon and have a hassle to return it if I wanted to and Target I'd have shipping AND tax to pay, fortunately though Target had free shipping otherwise I would've never bought the Tassimo. The Keurig originally caught my eye at Target with their low-end $80 price tag which led me to their $99 Elite which eventually made way to the $130 Tassimo. Not everyone will look these things up to realize the Tassimo is superior to the Keurig in diversity and quality.
Tassimo needs to put itself back into the market and advertise as a latte, cappuccino machine as the deciding factor for me was the fact I can get a premium beverage and not some watered down crap, plus coffee.
Though I must say my local Target sells Tassimo discs, was surprised actually as they are nearly half the price as they are at Bed, Bath Beyond... Another problem, who wants to go to a department store to buy their coffee?!? They need a greater super market presence.
Nonetheless, I'm not one to be giving out advice for free.

That's awesome! Tassimo's biggest business is in Europe, since the machine has its beginnings in France and France is where new products generally debut. So to see it being marketed more in the US is wonderful.

Nope, don't give up on Tassimo just yet please Its the best, & we want to keep it around. There are signs that things are getting better, otherwise I doubt SB would have joined in. And I've been seeing those new coffee T-disks showing up in our stores a bit more. Its just that us T-disks customers hoard when we do see them LOL. Bekka
