Jane sent all her rain this way, I've been living under it for weeks. I'd enjoy some sun now, honest!

I was the kid that was everyone's friend.. from "hood" to "prep" and everything in between. I was in the advanced placement program as well, which meant I at once had a very lax school career with teachers more willing to be creative in their teaching and permissive with the students, but at the same time a lot was expected of us academically and personally, and I tried to live up to that.
I have always explained myself in this way: A puzzle even I'm still trying to figure out. I'm at once serious in my work, but ever the class clown and a perfectionist in everything I do (I went to a teacher to find out how to get a better grade, after getting 47 out of 50 points - an A - on a paper), but happy instead of stressed about it.
If someone figures me out, let me know. lol
And it's summer... I guess folks are enjoying the weather and shunning the computer. Or maybe they just don't like us anymore *cry*

That makes for an interesting question. What kind of kid were you in school?
I was the one that sat in the back, quiet and unassuming, instigating others into causing trouble. I actually have INS2G8 as a vanity car plate.
As for friend cliques, I never slid into one, I was a 'roamer' that found the latest under-dog and stood up for them.

I'm so sorry and I'll be sending prayers out too.
And we can make it a better place, we just have to stay positive. The more that countries that move to a freer society, the less fighting and the more advances are made.
I don't expect world peace in my lifetime, maybe not even my son's, but we'll get there as long as we keep moving forward.
Plus, when the aliens invade, we'll have to all come together to fight the menace!

Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day.
Once again, thank you to all the troops out there for all you do, no matter the branch of service.

Welcome to what a normal spring feels like. We used to get those here in the Midwest, but for many many MANY years now, we literally went from winter to summer with maybe a day or two of spring weather in between. I'm loving this weather!
caryrae73, 70 degree weather, isn't that so perfect?! Warm enough to have fun outside without bundling up, cool enough to have fun outside without feeling like you're going to sweat yourself into a puddle.
egarneau, if you'd like, I can share a trick I did last summer and will do again this summer - Freeze coffee (your favorites that you brew from the Tassimo) into regular-sized cubes. Get some vanilla soy milk (even if you don't like soy milk, trust me on this). When you want a cool coffee treat, put 5 or 6 cubes in the blender, add enough of the soy milk to bring it just to the top of the cubes, add a little sugar if you like it sweeter and blend!
If it comes out too liquid-y, add a couple more cubes. Not liquid-y enough, add a dash of soy milk.
Voila! Frozen coffee treat! The vanilla soy milk is sweet and has a great vanilla flavor to add to your coffee. I went through 2 or 3 of these a DAY last summer they were so good! And I only used regular (ie. cheap) canned coffee... imagine how yummy it would be with your favorite Tassimo T-disc!

Jane really lives in mud-ville, don't let her fool you. Maybe that's how the coffee cubes started, some mud got into normal ones and gave her the idea.
Obviously I'm in a strange mood today.
Vanilla ice coffee with a shot of espresso is my choice for summer.

This spring has definitely been weird. We've had way too much rain and pretty cool temps. This week we had five days of sun or just summer like clouds, but it's only hit 80 a couple of times all spring and I'm in Arkansas.
It will hit 90 in a week or so and stay there.
I can't remember how I started making coffee ice cubes. Way before Tassimo. Making it with decaf is a great idea, though, because you are already getting a lot of caffeine when you put the espresso in. I love it.

We shattered a temp record earlier this week. Monday it was like 98 and the record was like 86. Pretty hot for Minnesota at this time of year. Now we have a nice stretch of 70's.

I've already started with iced Gevalia decaf in the afternoon at work. Usually I brew it the day before and put it in a pitcher in the fridge. I add a couple of shots of the decaf espresso and it's a perfect strength with the ice. Tastes as good or better than Dunkin', and I like Dunkin'.
Frozen coffee cubes is a great idea!

Summer's Upon Us, I Think

Well after a spring full of perpetual rain and cold temperatures, I finally think summer may be upon us. Time to crank up the Tassimo for my favorite summer beverage -- iced coffee. Usually I like my coffee, iced or hot, black, but occasionally and iced latte or cappucino is pretty darn good, too.
Guess I'd better start making me a bag full of frozen coffee cubes to avoid diluting the fun.
What's your favorite Tassimo drink for summer?
