You know, it just might hurt - you that is. If you open the unit too soon you may just get a steam burn!

I believe the extra time allows the steam/pressure in the T-disc and system to dissipate.

The solid green is for if you want to continue brewing that T-Disc, but effectively if you are not, the brewing is over at that point, so if not adding brew time, does it hurt anything to remove the T-Disc at the solid green step in the process?
