Do you know the temperature of the coffee when it's finished brewing? Coffee being "hot enough" is a bit subjective since some people really like their coffee HOT and others like me really prefer it not so hot. That being said, there is a range of acceptable temperatures for the coffee makers, and considering legal ramifications, the temperature may not be hot enough for you no matter what. On the other hand, the replacement machine may also have a problem.

This is the replacement machine Jane.. Although, I don't believe it was new (most likely refurbished). Perhaps, I should descale the machine anyway.. If this doesn't work, I'm definetely thinking to change to a Dolce gusto machine. I'm tied of having to microwave my coffee all the time.. Thanks.

You might give Customer Service a call and let them know any product information you have on the coffee in question. If you haven't descaled your machine, and it's been more than 3 months, you might consider trying that first. You can get descaling powder at a lot of retail locations. You should not use white vinegar.
You can find the number for customer service here as well as additional troubleshooting information about your machine.

Sorry to respond so late.. But, been using the new machine for awhile now, and Am not getting the same taste from the Starbucks coffees that I had before. Not sure what's wrong with this picture?? Possibly, the batch that I bought was too old, or Starbucks has changed the strenght on the Verona. (wihich is highly unlike). Been buying new coffee and I will keep reporting.

It's always good to keep warranty, and extended warranty information, in one place for electronics and appliances in one place, and it's best if it's a location with little or no light. I've found that receipts from retail outlets fade rapidly, and although most major stores keep the information on their computer system, it's helpful, at least to me, to have all of the details visible.

Ok.... guys.. No vinegar. Will descale with Dezcal. Although, these powders, are also very strong. Even heard that they can damage granite. I know many people believe vinegar is best, and it probably depends on the ratio used. Also, it looks like heating is a big factor in these machines. Thanks Highered for the tip..

geo, don't do that.. when i spoke to customer service reps they told me vinegar is not good because it would increase build up inside the machine.

On the Bosch they say specifically NOT to use vinegar. I don't know the reason, but there must be one for them to include a warning.

Well, yes, at least I got the old one.. I'm running the water cycle once or twice before making the coffee. It does help. There's more taste, but not like before. I'm going try to descale again, perhaps, it will improve. I wonder if descaling with vinegar (not sure the ratio), would be better than the agent they sale. I do have Dezcal with me, but wondering if vinegar is better? Meanwhile, I'll wait for the new one, if it will ever come?? Thanks for all the help..

i heard that they ran out of brewers for awhile. that's probably the reason why you didn't get your replacement right away.. i hope they won;t discontinue it though..

Well, can you at least use the old one until the replacement comes? From your description, it sounds like it still works, just not as well as it should be? And I hope it arrives soon! I know what it's like to be without your favorite beverages! not good :D

Oh Geo, you just did the WRONG thing- you won't get a coffee maker for months! Tassimo customer service is HORRIBLE and no matter how many times you call them, you will get the run around. I have been waiting well over a month for a replacement for a machine that was only a month old. Good luck, hon!
