Hi nicerobot (cute name!)
I don't recall anyone else posting about it making a loud buzz at the end. I'd try cleaning the piercing unit and making another one, if it still makes the noise you should give customer service a call, they may have more information.

Hi there. When making a cup of green tea on my Bosch Tassimo (the basic model), near the end of the initial brewing cycle, the pump motor becomes louder making this buzzing noise similar to when the pump first runs without water coming through. There also isn't a big steam purge at the end like with the other discs UNLESS I add more water to the tea after the initial brewing cycle. Has anybody else experienced this? It's really odd that it only happens with the Tea discs. I thought all the Bosch models were supposed to be quieter but maybe for tea that's not the case because the machine is very quiet when making hot chocolate.
