I asked the manager at my local Foodtown to see if he could get t-discs. He told me that other people have asked for them. He said that he would try to get them. After several days he told me that he could not get them.

I will agree with those who have seen more offerings. I just acquired my first Tassimo about two months ago and absolutely love it.

We currently have all the MH lineup, Suchard chocolate, and up until a week ago, SBux Breakfast Blend. There were three packs on a clearance rack for $7.00 each, so I grabbed them LOL! They were only carrying the SBux Cap Primo in the brewer aisle. All the others are only found in the coffee aisle at my store.

I deal with Walmart on a daily basis in my company. The decision about what products to carry are controlled at the store level, for the most part. If a store manager feels that a product isn't moving enough, he/she has the ability to turn that item off in the replenishment system.

CN Kenya is not as smooth & lacks the depth of Kitamu. Kenya is much more acidic, with more of a citrusy after-taste or bite. Kitamu is a bold coffee with more well rounded & deeper notes; a velvety smooth brew, without the citrusy after-taste.

Sadly, I did not find any House Blend at my local Wallys or the S Target where I found plenty before. I still see the Cap Primo and the Lattes, but I am not much fond of those.

I am sure that BBB has them but a little bit more expensive.

So, decided to try the Carte Noir Kenya which many reviews compare it to the SBux Kitamu for its bold flavor. Yum!

PS. Coffee Cow still has some Kitamu.

I just got a bunch more Kitamu from Amazon, who seem to still have SBux in stock.

My Wal-Mart has been carrying a lot of selections lately where they didn't carry any before. It has a nice placement in the store, as well.

Dang, our local stores only have a few offerings of SBuxs Lattes and Melange. I stocked up on plenty of those, and need to find more Kitamu and Verona to round out my stash.

That means that there are still a lot of SBux in the pipeline.
My last shipment of Kitamu and Verona has an expiration date of 12/31/11.

So, we shall be seeing SBux for a few more months at least
at the big retailers.

Just be sure to check the expiration date on the caps & lattes. I just picked up some Sbux caps. My local BBB had four packages all with expiration dates of April 2011. I'm not concerned about the coffee, per se, but I might be a little wary about the milk.

In addition to the Maxwell house (reg and decaff), my Wal*Mart also carries:

Sbux Cap Primo
Sbux House Blend
Sbux Breakfast Blend
Sbux Latte
Earl Grey Tea
Suchard
and something else decaff (but I wasn't paying attention to which, as "decaff is like kissing your sister...")

And yes, I realize that the Sbux product is no longer made, but they have continued to restock, so there is clearly product in the pipeline, and it is available to WalMart.

We'll see if they replace the SBUX shelfspace with some other as the availability declines, but if they are selling T-Disks they are selling T-Disks. Point was, "My local Walmart has as many T-Disc offerings as it ever has."

Which ones does your Walmart carry? This way I'll be able to ask for these same ones.

Thanks

> and your local WalMart at that.

Ummmm, yeah - that's why the title of this thread was called My local WalMart T-disk offerings... Absolutely no reason for it to be called 'This is a Walmart Problem' as is stated on the top of your post. Why did it change???

> Discuss it with your local WalMart manager, as to
> why they are not carrying what you want.

Can the manager bring Sbux, Seattle's Best, Jacobs, CN, ML, Twinnings, Tazo, etc... to the shelves? Because that's what I want.

You are probably right as to not selling much of what they had. Why?
1) It was located in an odd place
2) there's a Target across the street and
3) a BBB around the corner.

In the meantime - I've got just over 200 cups of non-Gevalia-or-MH to last a while.

This is more an indictment of WalMart, and your local WalMart at that.

My local Walmart has as many T-Disc offerings as it ever has, and the local BBB has more.

Discuss it with your local WalMart manager, as to why they are not carrying what you want. Likely it is that they were not selling enough to warrant the shelf space. But that is their fault (or at least their responsibility).

Doug's posting along with JamesGieb's does not give us a lot of hope then and I feel like I've been duped. When I bought my brewer I had not a clue our brewers are aka Gevalia system. This isn't said on the boxes and I still got those boxes. Sure I saw the Gevalia offerings, but G was no more prevalent than the other offerings in the beginning that is; there was nothing to indicate otherwise. I think it was a little more than a year ago, that I found on a Better Business Bureau site, that the Tassimo was listed "aka Gevalia Hot Brewer System". Things clicked in my mind at that moment -- the CS, the subscription, etc. Sure Gevalia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kraft's. Being wholly owned does not mean that subsidiary is controlled by Kraft. Often times according to the net, due to being in a different country for instance, the subsidiary will have very few controls by the holding company. The subsidiary is allowed to run as it always has. The lights go on. Look it up for yourselves. Makes sense sadly!!!! So am I surprised about the brand of upcoming coffees for spring are going to be yucky Gevalia? absolutely not. Am I angry about the whole dealings of how this brewer was presented, the recent way Gevalia/Kraft handled news of SBuxs and Seattle's Best which was blatantly dishonest, and the non-mention that when I bought this brewer that the brewer was tied to Gevalia in any way? Absolutely!!!! Would I have bought the Tassimo if I had known this, no matter how good of a brewer it is. Absolutely not. I feel totally duped!!!!!!

Kind of funny, during the last couple of months my local Wal-Mart and grocery store both started carrying T-Discs, Starbucks even. Great time for Kraft to finally push to get those in my local stores...
