My parents did that for the last few years of their lives. I got down to visit them a couple times, and it seemed all wrong to have it that hot and humid during winter months. I found I was actually glad to get back home.
I guess I'm a creature of habit. =D

Farmer, is there somewhere we can go that has Spring, Summer, and Fall, but no Winter? Or will we just have to be snowbirds and fly south for the winter for that? lol

It's not my favorite, either. I'm still wearing shorts, even though mornings are below freezing. It makes people look at me odd, but the longer I can stay in them the shorter winter feels.
Why yes, I am strange, thanks for asking!

We still have a LOT of green trees here, which I find very odd because usually by now, the leaves are all changed and even falling off the trees enough to make the big huge piles of leaves you can leap into.
I remember, even recently, using the leaves to make Halloween decorations using trash bags or old clothes and now there's not enough to fill up a kitchen-sized bag.
I'm not complaining though. I hate winter. I'm a big baby about winter. The longer it takes to get here, the better.

Leaves!
Peak leaf peeping has passed us (say that three times fast) but it was -gorgeous- up here this fall. When people ask me why, if I'm not fond of snow, I stay living up here (over yonder) all I have to do is remember spring and fall. It's not the same anywhere else in the country, and I couldn't live happily anywhere without it. My maple trees trump a palm tree anyday!
Plus, the idea of moving the farm is enough to explode anyone's mind. I'm not thinking u-haul would want cows in their trucks.

The best part about horror flicks is when they make you jump and scream.
......Or maybe I'm just strange.

LOL.. no, really, I didn't scream. But see, you don't know who you're dealing with here - The Queen of the Macabre. I'm such a horror movie buff and I laugh in Halloween haunted houses. It takes a lot to scare me.

If my son wants me to look at anything I'm instantly paranoid, and now you know why.
P.S. I bet you screamed. Hee!

LOL!!! I've done that maze. I didn't scream, but I jumped and then got mad at myself for not seeing that coming.

I'm working on baking pumpkin seeds this weekend, which, since I have three extra kids around, probably won't last long.
It's the giggle weekend here. I got curled up in bed with a good book and there was suddenly a SCREECH in the living room, the dogs rushed in to hide on my bed, my husband woke up from a dead nap, and then the mass giggling started.
My daughter, sweet thing she is, got her friend hooked on a maze game (that her older brother showed her, this should be a big warning). The unsuspecting friend had the headphones on, concentrating to the fullest, and suddenly the Scary screaming face jumps out at her! Yes, it was one of those joke sites.
I think it took 45 minutes for the giggling to subsided below sonic levels. It was a good sound.

I've sprinkle pumpkin spice in my coffee sometimes instead of cinnamon or cardamon (when I have it).
It would probably work great with a Latte.
Oh, and my fall is going great!

Time to decorate pumpkins and cook pumpkin seeds!
Anyone ever had pumpkin spice coffee? For some reason I'm thinking I've heard of it.

Limit? There's a limit? I guess when they get full...
Actually, they quit when they start feeling "happy" I guess, since none have gone over board.
Feel free to laugh! You may also laugh at the sober humans that were trying to chase them all back in the fence. Cows normally herd well, get one moving and the rest follow, not so after an apple binge. They didn't walk, sway, jump, kick, or run, a straight line. It was one of those afternoons you keep palming your face and asking why me. (After dinner we laugh. =)
