Scaling is a problem here to Jane. I always use filtered water myself.

Ladyming33, another poster asked that there be a better way to clean the piercer. You might consider cleaning that out as well. What kind of water do you use in your machine? Tap or filtered? I know that where I live, scaling is a problem.

What do you mean takes longer to brew? Do you mean the time from when you press the button or from the time you insert the disk?
Why don't you time the process from when you press the button to when the light goes to manual and I will do the same. Which disk are you brewing?

Since the system is a mini computer, try unplugging and then plugging it back in (after you have descaled and wiped the bar code off). Just a thought.

Have you tried to descale your machine? or possibly just wiping off the bar code reader would help.

Ok, so we have had our Tassimo a year next month. We use it daily. I regularly use the clean disk. However, lately it seems like its taking longer to brew a cup. Has anyone else noticed this or am I imagining things??
Also, my last order of Gevalia Crema ~~ seems like there is more in the cup than before. . . . no, not complaining, but curious...
Does the Tassimo slow down with age??
