The USD has gained a lot against the Euro over the past year or so--this week was especially strong for the USD given the concerns over Greece and Portugal.

The prices in Europe are actually cheaper than the US prices, even accounting for the exchange rate. If you get a large order on austriangrocery.com or temeon.de, the prices aren't so unreasonable.

Wow! This is an AWESOME post! :-x I like ALL of the links below. I wish that we had all of them available here in the USA. ;)

The down side on ordering from overseas for me is the conversion rate. Plus, shipping cost is effected as well. In the last year, I've ordered many things from Italy or Great Britain, for example, and the shipping charges are most unreasonable. The Euro conversion has REALLY been disappointing. As of today, the rate is 1 Euro = 1.3634 U.S. dollars. I wish that the exchange rates were a little more evenly matched.

Bottom line, if I want something bad enough I'll just have to pay the price. :O

Please keep posting the great, unique items on this discussion topic.

Oooohhhhh myyyyyyyyyy, I would buy both of those offerings in a heart beat. When you buy let me know shipping costs. But I gotta wonder, why don't we have those offerings here in the good ole USA???? Maybe these coffees will be part of the upcoming surprises Tassimo will share with us???? Fingers and toes are crossed. Those look yummy!!!!!

Ugh, shipping and handling is $10.99....

Great suggestion. Amazon and eBay are awesome ways to get things.. and get them at a great price as well.

You're right; it isn't on the tassimo.de website. However, I believe that it is being made under license to use the Tassimo trademark.

I've been checking into buying stuff from "over there" and found that it could be quite the hassle. So I'm gonna have to REALLY want that someting in order to put up with the trouble. Well, ... maybe it's not trouble. OK so why do I HAVE to have the things I can't get here?

i agree, don't think this will be sold here anytime soon, i wish tassimo would make some of the products that are available on the international sites, available here in the US but i doubt that will happen.

I can't read german but I checked out tassimo's official website in germany and from what I can tell it isn't on it.

It is an interesting product. We now have 3 machines in the family (mom in law, sis n law and me)...so if 1 of us bought that we could just share the pot when one of us was having company. Usually most of my guests go for the lattes and cappuccinos so I'd still be standing in front of my machine for a while.

Hi all,
What a great idea! How nice for when friends are over and you want to serve more than 1 cup at a time. I could even replace my old drip coffee system!

Keep us informed.

That little pot is very nice. I've not heard of the site, but be sure and keep us posted. :)
