I need to add to Doug's post, the promotion of the Tassimo Brewers in regard to the huge & I'm sure costly advertising campaign of the Intelligent Brewbot, and the mass free T-20 give-a-ways during Christmas time as well. All of this alludes to the promise of more good things to come, in way of drink choices, when in actuality Corp. knew SBuxs was more than likely leaving. I remember when Sbux's T-discs first hit the media. I naively went to SBux thinking I could buy them there. Not a one empoyee knew what I was talking about; didn't even know what a Tassimo was. Fast forward a year later, still not many SBux employees knew what a Tassimo was. It was said on this board many times, right from the beginning, why aren't SBux T-discs carried in local SBux stores, and why aren't there more SBux coffee choices? Guess what, no answer from Tassimo. Like Doug, I am vocal because I love my brewer. I don't want to see this great innovention become so limited due to the crappy by choices we are offered. I'm a true advocate and believer in our Bosch machines. Kraft has got to wake up and realize more choices and availability of T-discs, will drive the sales of the brewers. Kraft/Gevalia wouldn't have to sponsor huge give-a-ways or even spend untold dollars on media promotion, if the aforementioned were in place. Not to mention, more choices and availability would also drive sales for those drinks. Green Mountain built on this very concept. Instead of staying proprietal to their own brand, they went beyond to being inclusive of other coffee companies. I'm betting this move drove up their sales for their own coffee brand. Its not too hard to envision consumers are going to buy a brewer that can offer more choices to fit those relative tastes. Yes, even if the brewer is not quite as technologically advanced in design as our Tassimo. So if more people buy the Keurig this is going to extend to more sales for coffees, including Green Mountain's own brand because more people are buying Keurig compatible machines. Tassimo has a primitive sales concept by being exclusive to their own.

Thanks, Jim and Alex.
I don't mind telling you folks, that I'm particularly hard on Kraft/Gevalia because I really love my 'bot; and I'll bet I'm not the only one here on this forum that feels that way. If those of us who are particularly critical of of Kraft/Gevalia, it's because of the of complete disregard that Kraft/Gevalia is treating this wonderful brewer.
Other than having a $50 rebate and then bringing out an iPhone app, in the five months that I've owned my 'bot, the fools who run this company have done absolutly nothing to get Tassimo coffees out the general retail market place. Giving customers a break on a 'bot is one thing, but getting coffee out to customers is something else.
In all of the years that I visited my local Starbucks I never, not once, saw a single disc. Now that Starbuck will be made for k-cups we'll see Starbucks k-cups at Starbucks. How long do you think that that we'll be seeing Starbucks k-cups at our local Costco. I wager that it will be before this summer.
So why couldn't Kraft/Gevalia do the same when it had Starbucks in the Tassimo line up???
I understand that there are many who don't care for SBux, but I'm using SBux as an example. SBux left Kraft because it said that Kraft was not bringing its coffee to the marketplace. It looks like SBux was right.
There is no reason in the world that Kraft is not bringing its other coffees out to the local retail marketplace. As a minimum, Kraft/Gevalia must get as many of its brands out to local retail stores. And it had better do so before the summer begins - because it's during the end of the summer that some people start thinking about what they might want to get or give for Christmas.
And the $50 rebate don't mean a thing if you can't readily buy a cup of coffee.

Bekka and Doug as CEO and President.
If either of you need a personal assistant, I will work for less than industry standard if you include monthly t-discs.

At this stage of the game, Kraft/Gevalia need to do a whole lot more than just bring over the european brands. That's old history they never fulfilled; they missed the boat a long time ago on that one. Now, Tassimo needs to also bring on new drink brands and get that reusueable disc on the market.

Tassimo needs to bring those European coffees out to the local retail markets. That is the only way that Kraft/Gevalia will stimulate consumer interest. $50 rebates aside, Kraft/Gevalia needs to do something now.
Hosts, please pass this comment along; thanks.

I agree, the app is very nicely done. I have a feeling that it was done by the same group that did Kraft's recipe app, also very media-rich and intuitive.

Maybe the free iPhone case is Kraft's last feeble attempt to actually promote the Tassimo product that it has been neglecting over the last four years!!!

I downloaded it to my iPhone today, I wish they had it for Windows 7 Phones. I'll be dumping my iPhone permanently when the contract expires in a few months for my Samsung Focus (Windows 7 Phone). Much better phone and NO slow and cpu hogging iTunes software.

I downloaded the app several days ago and signed in. I see that they're offering a free Tassimo iPhone case with login. This will be interesting to see if/when it shows up.
In any case, you might want to try it out.
