Sorry for any misunderstanding! I don't have a problem with your compensation, and I don't disagree that Tassimo/Kraft needs to get its act together. I'm just saying that I don't think it's reason enough to avoid the direct delivery program given the fact that there is a) a sign-up bonus, b) no commitment, and c) varieties only available from TassimoDirect.

Yes, as I said in my post, they credited my account and I did not have to return the coffee (twice).
Believe me, I'm not out to get free coofee from Tassimo, but if they mess up, they have to remedy the situation in some real way.

Oh, that's a given. They have had to credit my account twice in the last 90 days (and I did not have to send back the coffee). But what a waste of time, I'd rather just have it right to begin with.

If they send me a shipment while my account shows as suspended online and/or prior to the next scheduled delivery date showing online, I would call them and have them reverse the charge. I would be happy to send the product back if they sent a prepaid label; otherwise, I would treat it as a gift.

Fair warning, I have not had any luck suspending my delivery on line either. They totally disregard the date I enter. I would call customer service even if you want to suspend your account.

Two free packs of T-Discs and two free mugs was enough reason for me to sign up. http://tassimodirect.com/dd Even though you can't cancel online you can suspend your account for ca. six months online and you can set your delivery interval to 24 weeks, allowing plenty of time in that period to decide if you want to call to cancel, continue the suspension, or have a shipment sent. You can also change the contents of your delivery online very easily.
I agree that it's annoying to have to call to cancel, but it's not enough of an annoyance to bother me. For all of Tassimo's customer service/order fulfillment issues, hold time is not one of them (wait times are less than a minute in my experience--often zero).

Just call the customer service number and ask them to suspend your account - took me less than a minute.

I feel in love with the Tassimo I bought for someone else as a Christmas gift and even more so when Tassimo delivered on their offer of a free pack of my choice (And a real choice, not pre-selected crap) and that sampler. Seeing the offer that came with the welcome package for Tassimo Direct that comes with two free packs AND those Tassimo-branded thermos, I thought "Huh, why not?"
I do remember a review on Amazon though about the trouble they had with Tassimo Direct so figured I'd do a search online and well, found this thread. Answered all my questions. Thanks.
Absolutely unacceptable that you cannot simply cancel with a click from the mouse on the website. I don't have to call in to set up my account so why must I do so to cancel? Just ridiculous. For that reason alone I won't sign up with Tassimo Direct especially considering my only reason was to have a Tassimo thermo so I could freely advertise for them in public as if more people bought a Tassimo the selection would be greater, prices lower and more readily available.
But oh well.

Ya... tried that, too!! Put it on hold, it didn't stick - so cancelled via email, no reply - wait on toll-free was long that day so I thought it was good enough. WRONG!!

There is an option on the subscription service to temporarily put your account on hold until a specified date. I would suggest to anyone trying to cancel the service to take that step first so no shipments are sent until you figure out or make sure your account has been cancelled.

Emailing does not work - you have to phone them. I emailed on December 28th, received the automated email that said I would receive a reply within 12 hours - but did not receive a reply at all, and the idiots actually sent another package out to me on January 1st!!!
Because they have basically nothing I wanted in stock, it is below the $30 required for free shipping, so they charged shipping charges on top of the product that I canceled on December 28th.
So when I phoned today (no waiting time) I was told that there is a balance of $28.30 on my account and would I like to provide them a credit card to clear that balance. NO I WOULD NOT - I canceled it on December 28th and you shipped it on January 1st - I will not accept the package and you can have it returned to you - I am also NOT paying any shipping charges!!!!!
MORONS!!!!
I think I'm switching to Amazon - I can't stand this company and their lack of customer service anymore.
